4-H Grows Here Ask any Schoharie County 4-H member and they will tell you the highlight of the 4-H year is the opportunity to show their project at this county fair. Items displayed in the Junior Department area in Progressland are as diverse as the membership itself. Throughout the week, you will see a wide array of baked goods, sewing projects, flowers, artwork, photography, crafts and vegetables that represent a small part of Schoharie County 4-H activities. Generations of fair goers continue to enjoy attending our animal shows that highlight the results of hours of practice, patience and skill of our youth with the various animals as they compete for awards in the show ring. Please check the schedule for the Junior Department horse, dairy, beef, goat, sheep, rabbit, poultry, swine and dog shows and cheer on the youth as they strive for excellence! 4-H is the Youth Development Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schoharie and Otsego Counties. 4-H is a national and international youth program that serves youth in Schoharie County through clubs, workshops, clinics, trips, special events, camps and the After school Program. Be on the lookout for the iconic 4-H Clover and near it you will find a very enthusiastic 4-H exhibitor. Enjoy your visit to the Sunshine Fair!
